HELLO AND FAREWELL…Let me explain!
Hello to Summer, this glorious, cheerful, refreshing and most welcome of seasons. We all have our own special memories of this upcoming season which creeps closer into our existence each spring day. As children we welcomed summer vacations as we bid farewell to 9 months of school. As adults, for some, we experience mixed emotions about juggling summer vacation time with work and boy oh boy, the children! “What to do with the children for 3 months”. For the rest of us adults well, we can’t wait to just take this season in stride. Do what we want when we want. You know those lazy, hazy days of summer. We all have experienced one or the other, but notwithstanding, summer has its place in all our lives and somehow, we all manage to welcome and say hello to summer every year with acceptance and approval.
Personally, I am in the “let’s take this season in stride” camp and if you are too, I’m just putting this one out there for your consideration. Farewell to our Manager, yes, it’s time to bid you all farewell as I embark on my retirement from Hospitality. I have enjoyed 8 years (that’s 32 actual seasons) at the helm of this outstanding Inn accompanied by the best hospitality management group and staff during my entire 40 plus years. The guests I have had the pleasure of serving these past 8 years have made my journey here a most memorable one. I will truly miss you all. The community of Center Harbor has been gracious in their support of the inn and all our efforts in making Center Harbor the gem that it is. I am looking forward to spending this summer and my retirement, “in stride”, with my family who have been amazingly patient and supportive of my career, moving and moving and moving again, while surrendering their time for mine.
