Beveridge Ice Fest

Beveridge Ice Fest

The greatest show on ice returned this past weekend on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Guests layered up and threw on their Yaktrax for the third annual Beveridge Ice Fest, a beer festival that takes place on the ice-covered waters of Lake Winnipesaukee in the midst of winter. Each year the event sells out and this year was no exception. Beer lovers from around New England gathered together to enjoy a variety of craft brews from upwards of thirty breweries.

Located just a short thirty-minute drive from the Center Harbor Inn, the ice brew fest was held from 12pm – 3pm at 19-Mile Bay. Tickets were $40 per person and the designated driving tickets only $10 to ensure guests of the event could leave safely. There was a free shuttle departing from nearby Seven Suns Coffee & Tea that offered pick-ups and drop offs throughout the course of the event as parking at the Bay is limited. Once guests arrived there were plenty of things to do and beers to try. Twin Barns Brewing Company was a popular vendor featuring two of their winter favorites: an imperial stout at 10% ABV called Below Zero and an American Pale Ale at 5.4% named Catch & Release. The event had a popular retro pop band named Copilot playing live music right from the ice top. There were many additional vendors selling items like winter gear to keep you warm, beer soap, and plenty of options if you got the munchies including selections like juicy burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches and a Mac & Cheese Brisket! However, one of the most popular vendors in attendance was Jolie Rogers Traveling Raw Bar. Owners Ryan Jolie and Andy Rogers pride their business on sourcing the best oysters and setting up beautiful displays and they did not disappoint! Beer lovers found an unexpected new favorite at this (raw) bar. We are already looking forward to 2021 Beveridge Ice Fest!
